Finance Update \ Fund Raising
Church Family,
We wanted to send a recap of the finances from the business meeting this last Sunday and share some of the church's current and upcoming financial needs.
As a recap:
We went from approximately 12 giving units in 2020 to 30 in 2021. This has increased from $75,443 in 2020 to $136,866 year-to-date. Our budget is currently at $15,000, and we plan to keep this budget going forward in 2022. This covers salaries, facilities, and all church expenses. We currently averaged $12,494/month for the year and have approximately $12,726 in the bank.
During the 2021 calendar year, we had a number of different items that we were able to accomplish:
1. Brought Jon on full-time
2. Planted Covenant Grace Church
3. Moved from the cafeteria to the gym
4. Started renting a church office space in Franklin
5. Hired Jon part-time administrative help
6. Started a nursery class
7. Opened a nursing mother's room
Praise the Lord in all that we were able to accomplish! With all these items, we also added many new members to the church and continue to look at ways to expand all of our ministries to love and care for these new families. In 2022, we plan to add new men's and women's bible studies, add more Grace Groups (home fellowship groups), add additional children's classes, and add a Sunday School class for teens and adults.
With all we have done and the ministries we are still adding, we want to put out a special fund to help pay for many of these recent expenses.
The following is a list of these expenses:
Chairs: $2,100
Nursery / Children’s ministry: $1,250 Sound Equipment: $1,450
Office Supplies/Equipment: $1,700 Total = $6,500
In December, we are asking the church to help raise $10,000 above our normal giving. This money will assist in recovering the expenses listed above and help us be prepared as we organize all our new ministries for 2022.
If you'd like to participate in this, you can do so in one of two ways:
1. You can go on the Grace Reformed app, select "Give" and then under where it says "Fund" you can choose "Church Growth Fund."
2. You can use a check, put it in the offering box at church and put "Church Growth Fund" in the memo line.
Your Elders are so encouraged by the amazing ways our church has grown this year and responded in caring for the body. We look forward to seeing how God works in 2022. Please continue to pray for your Elders and the church as we minister the Gospel and care for those in our body. – Eric Lokker
