Children's Ministry Director

I want to thank all of you for your ongoing love and service to our church family. The children in our midst are just as important and valuable as anyone else in our body. I am so thankful you all approach your ministry with care and love for these family members as we point them to Christ week after week through your tender care and teaching.

Our church attendance has doubled just in the last 3-5 months and with that, so has the need for our children’s ministry. Matt Phelan has graciously offered to help our church oversee and provide care and direction for our children’s ministry. This will be a huge help for the elders as we continue to learn how to care for and shepherd everyone in our midst. Matt has experience in this area of ministry from his former church in CA and will help bring some experience and insight into growing and properly caring for our children.

We have attached the ministry leader description so all who are part of this ministry will know how to utilize this position going forward. I also want to thank Rachel Smith for the amazing job she has done for the last five years in organizing and preparing for our children. Jeff Myers has been an amazing guide and director of our children’s education as our congregation continues to grow. I couldn’t be more excited about what our children are learning, and the elders want to thank Jeff for the hours and dedication he has put into making sure our children are growing in their love and knowledge of Christ.

-Rachel Smith will continue to be your point person for the nursery.
-Jeff Myers will continue to be your point person for education for ages 3yr-5th grade (and further grades as we expand into Sunday school).
-Matt Phelan will help support Jeff and Rachel while providing oversight to the whole ministry.
